Man-Made Disaster:

Disaster which is caused by human based negligence such as events, function,etc. is called Man-made Hazards.

Sometimes the disaster are also divided on the basis of speed into the following two categories:

Slow Onset Disasters:

Disaster that prevail for a longer period like drought, famines, etc. are called slow Onset Disasters.

Rapid Onset Disasters:

Some disaster that happen due to some sudden shock or event are called Rapid Onset Disaster.
